Welcome Back EHHP!
I wanted to welcome everyone back from, hopefully, a relaxing summer 
Here are some updates on campus happenings if you’re interested:
New WebCT (LMS) Status: The project timeline has been seriously pushed back due to some things going on in Columbia. These holdups are over now and we should be issuing the Request for Proposal (RFP) within the next few weeks and then things should progress more quickly. It is a requirement that whatever we choose will allow us a seamless migration from WebCT so if you are using WebCT you can continue to do so for at least another year or so.
People Server: You all may have received an email announcing that there is a new web server on campus (Subject: [Faculty] New Server for Personal Webpages). The purpose of the server will be to house all faculty and staff webpages instead of Spinner. Chris Scott and I are attempting to put together a plan to migrate folks to this new server so you won’t need to do anything at this time. Just stay on Spinner for now and we’ll help you move your page later in the semester.
Blog Server: There is also a new blog server on campus. It is the same software as Edublogs (WordPress) and works exactly the same way. If you already have an Edublog blog and want to move it to the CofC server (with a CofC address) contact me and I’ll help you get it moved.
