Avery Research Center

I visited Avery about 2 years ago with a class in Sept, from USC at Coumbia, and saw some beautiful art work to be purchased from many artists. Will you have art work on exhibit again in the future for purchase?

Thank you for your continuing interest (and remembrance) of the College of Charleston’s Avery Research Center for African American History and Culture. In all likelihood, the exhibition you referenced was the Daughters’ of the Dust juried art show. The works that comprised that show have been returned to the respective artists. However, on Thursday, January 17TH @ 6:00 P.M. we will open a new exhibition entitled, Eternal Vigilantes: The Art of Karole Turner Campbell. The majority of the works, which are mixed media, will be available for purchase.
