It’s all about GRATITUDE

With the holiday season about to begin why not focus on activities that provide children with a little bit of introspection, focusing specifically on ways in which they are thankful. Here are 2 great activities to try with the younger kids. First, create a gratitude tree. Students get to color the tree to their hearts content, then use their creativity to decorate the tree with all the things they’re thankful for.

Second, kids can play a round of gratitude pick-up sticks, a new twist on an old classic. Pull a stick from the pile cautiously, so as to not move any other sticks and lose a turn. Whichever stick he or she picks up correlates to naming something to be thankful for such as a food, person, or place.
