Peer Advisors are available weekly in the library and on campus for quick questions during the Fall 2018 semester:

  • Library (Information Desk):
    • Mondays 6:00-7:00 p.m.
    • Tuesdays 2:00-4:00 p.m., 6:00-7:00 p.m.
    • Wednesdays & Thursdays 6:00-7:00 p.m.
  • Cougar Mall (weather permitting):
    • Tuesdays 12:00-1:00 p.m.
  • Stern Center:
    • Tuesdays & Wednesdays 5:00-5:45 p.m.

You can also attend Quick Question Drop-In, weekdays from 2:00-4:00 p.m., in 247 Lightsey Center.

Drop-In Advising for Course Withdrawal Questions – March 9 & 12 (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.), and March 13 (2-4 p.m.)

The last day to withdraw with a grade of “W” for a spring semester course is Tuesday, March 13. We invite you to come to the Academic Advising and Planning Center during our special Drop-In Advising hours in 247 Lightsey Center for questions or concerns about course withdrawal:

  • Friday, March 9 – 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Monday, March 12 – 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 13 – during Quick Question Drop In hours, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

If you are considering a course withdrawal, it is important that you make an informed decision. There are many components to consider, such as financial aid, scholarships, housing, and insurance, among other things, and your decision should not be made lightly.

You can also schedule an appointment with your assigned advisor in the AAPC online through Appointment Manager on the Academic Services tab of MyCharleston, and the AAPC offers daily Quick Question Drop In hours, Monday-Friday from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on a first come, first served basis if your question qualifies for Quick Question Drop In advising.

The Academic Advising and Planning Center is hosting the 9th annual ART MATTERS Student Art Exhibition opening reception on Friday, December 1, from 3:00-4:30 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the Lightsey Center. The theme is “Reflecting on Water”. We hope to see you there!

ART MATTERS: Now Accepting Artwork Submissions for Student Art Exhibition – Deadline: November 27

Open to all CofC students, all majors, any media.  Works must relate to the theme, “Reflecting on Water”.

Frames required for photography and drawings for ease of hanging.  Works will be exhibited for one year and then returned to the artist.  Limit of two works.

Please deliver your artwork to the Academic Advising and Planning Center, Lightsey 2nd floor, Rm 247, by November 27, during business hours (M-F 8:30am-5:00pm).

Contact Diane Bowers at artmatters@cofc.edu as soon as possible about your interest in the Exhibit.

Opening Reception for the Exhibition will be Friday, December 1, from 3:00 – 4:30PM ~ ART, FOOD, MUSIC!
